Vikram Vedha is the story of a cop who is trying to catch a dreaded criminal. Vedha (Hrithik Roshan) is a gangster from Lucknow who has committed 16 murders so far. He has become so infamous that the Uttar Pradesh Police has formed a Special Task Force (STF) to eliminate him and his gang. Led by Vikram (Saif Ali Khan), the police force receives a tip that members of Vedha’s gang are hiding in a secluded place. Vikram, his best friend Abbas (Satyadeep Mishra) and others from the STF arrive there with the intention of killing him. As planned, the STF captures all the men, including one who was ready to surrender, however. This gangster Muni (Amarjit Singh) also gives bribe in exchange for his life. However, Vikram is an honest cop and he kills him. While investigating the crime scene, the police discover that one of those killed did not have a weapon and was probably innocent. Realizing that this might get them into trouble, Vikram tells his associates to keep a weapon in his hand and it appears that he fired at the police, causing the police to shoot. Vedha was not present at this place and a search is on for her.
Vedha (Hrithik Roshan) is a villain in the film, while Vikram (Saif Ali Khan) is an honest, truthful and strong cop. The entire army wants to capture Vedha but one day Vedha surrenders and tells a story to Vikram. After this, Vedha slowly narrates different stories to Vikram, which contain aspects related to his life. Slowly the story unfolds and Vikram’s blindfold opens. The story ends at a juncture where as a viewer you have to wonder whether Vikram is good or bad, or is Vedha really good or not? Now why does Vedha choose Vikram for the story? Does Veda or Vikram die in the end? To answer many such questions, you have to watch the film.
